most track days on 1/16-8/16 prod with no 3rd gear failure
Ive been following the problem and threads ..My first GT4 had about 4k mi and 3track days with no issues it was a 3/15 prod.. My current one is 6/16 no track yet(been tracking my M2) but 5k miles . Im just wondering how many cars in the production window 1/16-8/16 that have significant track time and no 3rd gear issues. carl

I wish all the late-production GT4 owners the best of luck. From what I have learned, 3rd gear failure is not a matter of if but when. There was a fundamental flaw in the design and or mfr in these transmissions that will lead to failure.
For those owners who have not yet experienced failure, there's approximately two years (give or take a few months, not including CPO cars) of warranty remaining.
If my transmission hadn't already failed, I would likely lead a RobbyPro (or whatever his RL name is) initiative to approach PCNA to provide some relief for GT4 owners, particularly those produced in the danger zone, such as an extended warranty, particularly for transmissions. (RobbyPro led the successful initiative on behalf of GT3 owners to obtain warranty relief for engines failing.)
Providing some type of relief or consideration to GT4 owners is not unprecedented, though it has not been publicly disclosed. (I have received none, so far.)

6k miles
12-15 track days, 1 AX
Have had Fabspeed sport headers, bmc air filters just about the whole time. No tune.
When I drive to work and exit the highway, there's a long straight followed by a right-hander with a late apex feeding into its own lane. I'd say combined, that gives me about an extra 0.25 track days!
