255/40/20 fitment
Has anyone successfully mounted and ran RE-71Rs in 255/40/20? Tire Rack is out of the 245/35/20 and none are inbound for at least 60 days. I don’t want to miss the autocross season waiting for them but I also don’t want to waste money and time on something that won’t fit.

How much do you know about tire sizing and the resulting effects thereof? Are you willing to change the rear ones as well to maintain OEM relationship?

Back in mid-January I ordered RE71R in stock sizes from Tire Rack and was told it would be early March to get them. I ordered anyways. They were shipped to me about 3 weeks after my order was placed and are in the garage now. I'm not sure if they received an unexpected shipment or if they routinely exaggerate times to prevent people from getting mad.
