Default This car is starting to annoy me

So I get the car back this week with new transmission (my 3rd including the original) & I thought the gears felt a little notchy as I left Porsche but thought maybe a little break in required although my first replacement shifted like butter. But It was raining & I needed to get to work. So after missing 2/3rds of my Cota weekend several weeks back, I was looking for to the Chin DE this weekend. Well at happy hour yesterday, I try to shift from 2nd to 3rd & no go. It won't budge. So I hobble back in 2nd gear & get a nice ride home with tow truck at 9pm. So another DE down the drain (3 & counting) not to mention the several previous AC issues until they gave me new one. This car is turning into a major time goblin. Maybe should have stuck with my 997.2 gt3 which is for sale btw. Thanks for letting me vent. I guess this is just track life coupled with better than average bad car luck.

That would be perplexing. Hopefully you dont need another box. Four would most certainly be an unwanted record number of boxes in one car.

That's horrible! You should ask PCNA & your dealer to compensate you for the cost of the DE events at the minimum.
On a previous non Porsche car I owned the transmission was working just fine. I received a recall letter from the mfg that the transmission needed to be changed b/c of a "potential" problem. So I had it done, & then the same kind of headache you're having started. It seemed everytime they changed/adjusted or whatever, it made things worse. When they finally got it sorted out, & after driving car for ~ year the transmission went! I took it back & the F'%#'ers said the car was no longer under warranty. I was so mad, and appreciate your experience, so haven't even considered buying that brand again.

I would lemon that sucker. This transmission thing is getting out of hand. Really sorry to hear.

Can you confirm any part numbers - I wonder if you got a new one or an old one.

He needs to contact PCNA.

At the end of the day, the MANUFACTURER is the party that is ultimately responsible for repurchasing or replacing a "lemon" vehicle.
Not the dealer. They're only responsible for fulfilling their franchise agreement, which is simply to repair vehicles to conform to the manufacturer's warranty.
Furthermore, the Lemon Law protection arises under state law, with each state having its own Lemon Law.

That's almost entirely correct. However, dealers do have some liability under the CA lemon law for cars they sell. They are usually entitled to indemnification from the mfg under most circumstances, though.

I'm guessing OP is located it in Texas based on his screen name. I think they have some pretty stringent lemon laws, and based on this I think OP certainly has a valid complaint:

A serious safety hazard is a life-threatening malfunction that substantially impedes your ability to control or operate the vehicle normally, or that creates a substantial risk of fire or explosion. You pass this test if you have taken your vehicle to the dealership two or more times for the repair of a serious safety hazard
  • during first two years or 24,000 miles, whichever comes first, and
  • the problem continues to exist.
