Yep! I bet they use the natural fiber stuff from the clubsport. If all the suggested numbers are correct it could be the most sought after Porsche’s in a while if they keep the build numbers in 911R territory or 4.0RS.

Doubt they would have a 60hp (425-485) bump for the GT4 RS. That's a 14% increase in power while the GT3 to GT3 RS is only a 25hp bump in the 500hp range.

Same as 981 GT4......hope it does follow the same schedule so we can end all of the speculation, specially the RS ones.

Anyone's dealers taking deposits yet? Have they shared what kind of ADM they are planning to charge?

I'm guessing with 718 Cayman/Boxster volume slumping, Porsche will be pumping out the Spyder/GT4 in high volume. I have two deposits at my dealer and they were pushing me to take an open allocation late in 2018 for a GT3... if you wanted a GT3 build slot, they were somewhat easy to find at MSRP.

Hope you're right about the high volume!
I for one had an impossible time finding a gt3 build slot at MSRP and I started 16 months before the car was announced. It all boiled down to the original dealer and then it left me trying to scramble but still I couldn't find a slot for MSRP in Northeast.

Look at how many 991.2 GT3 and RS cars are getting pumped out. Assume 718 GT4 volume will be even higher, not saying it'll be easy but if folks are patient we should be able to avoid all the bs adm nonsense,

I was 10th on a list for msrp 981 GT4, dealer was convinced they wouldn't get allocation. I bought a car on a lot with ADM. I got a call 30 days later with a build slot at msrp. Call around and get on a few lists. A few things that are true:

-There are lots of guys on multiple lists that will cancel
-Porsche will build enough
-The economy will only soften

Pick up the phone and call around!

Same. I searched for almost two years with no luck. All my local dealers either lied to me or told me to F off.

I'm on an "interest" list with the dealer that I bought my GT4 from.
I think it pretty much means nothing.... until they know what their allocation is going to be.
Then comes the ADM game vs what will most likely be a softer economy in the 11th largest economic country in the world.... the Bay Area.

If it wasnt for a rich guy in Los Altos that was running out of garage space, I probably would have never been able to buy a low mileage CPO GT4 for a touch less than MSRP.
Talk about first world problems.

Woodland Hills Porsche is taking deposits. $2k. 15 people on the list. They will be charging market price. Basic supply and demand principle.
I didn't buy into the hype. Took my business else where. On a few list in CA and out of state.

Yeah, I suspect the 718 GT4 may be very high volume also. Good reason for Porsche drag out the launch, get interest and sales pumped, and allow dealers to get MSRP, or more. Maybe I'm being too cynical.

I'm paying MSRP, but no ADM.
