If they are running the X51 cams and valve springs then presumably not much more revs. Would guess still 7800rpm, maybe 8k if the intake pushes the peak up a little higher....

[edit] Ah, just saw the presser - 7800rpm but now power peak is 7500rpm!!! This is where I hit peak power in my x51, this will be an exciting engine!

So Porsche's newest gt product uses a 4 year old engine (that was replaced as it was no longer competitive) making less power than when it was originally released in the 911....thanks?

I am sure the chassis is brilliant but the engine seems like a let down.

7800 Redline according to official announcement.
Unsure if this is the same or was bumped up from 7600.
The last car was started as 7600 even though some people here mentioned it was 7800.

looking at the difference in price/features between the trackday and competition version I would expect most to get the competition version....it seems better value (unless it requires a series commitment)
