Technically it has 37xx miles. May or may not be ‘new’ from a legal ownership and warranty perspective — but it is being sold by a BMW store...

GT4RS
450 to 475hp
8500+ rev limit
multi-link rear suspension
RS1 front fenders and some other aero bits
and last but not least, give us some historical racing colors as standard fare without charging an arm and a leg or the price of a newborn baby
suggestions: Arrow Blue, Mexico Blue, Signal Yellow, Birch or Lizard Green, Ultraviolet or Aubergine
How about they all come in primer and you can paint it any color you want after?

Whoopsy, any insight to why they changed the exhaust from a center exit, or could that change before the reveal since the diffuser doesn’t look finished on the mules.

So what would stop Porsche from selling a turbo GT4RS to the public and then going racing with it?

nothing, but race rules due limit hp to weight ratios in most amateur classes.

Seperately, rereading whoopsy’s orignal post us GT4 crazy folks passed on. Particularly the ‘widow maker’ comment. Generally in Porsche-dorm, that term refered to the 930 turbo, then the GT2, now the GT2RS.... he specifically said that car didn’t have a roof. Wonder if the Speedster maybe getting the GT2RS engine instead?

Read that statement again:

"There was something sitting there without a hard top, but it was completely ignored as the car next to it is the Youtube car"

There was a car without a top (speedster). However, the widowmaker was the next car, referring to that camo'd GT2 looking thing in the Monza vids.

The actual quote... he ordered one so it’s being made. The car it was sitting next to was the race car. Also, funny he said they should offer training with purchase. Walter Rohrl said selling the old GT2 to customers was a mistake, as they would kill themelsves.

I suggested a mandatory training session with purchase. They also think its' a good idea just so their customers won't be dying left and right

I think it is time folks stop using the name "GT3" engine.... It will not be GT3 engine. Not even a chance.
The is a 981.2 dubbed a 718
It will be based on the 3.8L again with better heads, cams, throttle body and exhaust....

If they do not stroke it to 4.0L, they might very well do a RS with a stroked 4.0L and PDK in a limited run. But the jury is still out on that.
