rear suspension will be unchanged.
It is not as high tech as the 911 and never will be. And we will never get a larger tire under it either unfortunately.

Listening to this video w/o watching and focusing solely on the sound, this is a very thin sounding engine, as if the lower registers were filtered out. This engine does not have any turbo whistle that I could discern. I am going to assume this is a NA flat six since a flat four NA would be ludicrous from every conceivable standpoint. A 3.8L GT3 engine with a particulate filter tuned to 450HP would fit the sound track IMHO.

Giving credence to those who are in the turbo flat 4 camp... If you listen to both the 718 GT4CS at full throttle vs the STI rally car at full throttle, they are very similar. Keep in mind that the exhaust piping length on the GT4CS is much shorter than that of the STI. Hence, the tonal difference. But if you compare the frequencies at higher RPMs it's very similar... Then again, I can be just completely deaf since I wear headphones with loud music playing all the time

That Subaru sounds like ***. It's closer to a Civic than a Porsche .

The fact that certified car nuts like us can't tell for sure whether an engine is a turbo 4 or an NA 6 is stupefying. I've gone back and forth at least 10 times. Only thing which makes me think it's not the gt3 4.0 detuned is that the 911 Speedster at 2x the price would have basically the same setup as the Spyder.. $100k vs $200k and handle better. How are they going to let that happen?

to me it sounds like a loud 4cyl turbo that has a redline of sub 7k. Too much fartyness and no high rpm howl.

Exactly. Makes me laugh, that car would leave their GT4's for dead on track.

It is an amazing car however it is so far modified that if it didnt do sub 7:00 it would be a dissappointment given the build cost.....

With the same budget I could get a GT4 below 7:00

As most actual race cars would, to be fair.
