OT: Find it odd there is no mention of the Cayman/Boxster T anywhere on the USA region Porsche.com
Where other regions do.
Im quite confused... especially because it’s been out for awhile.

Maybe they are waiting to produce and advertise the USA models at once since every single one of them must have the radio for the backup camera. Or maybe they are waiting to move unsold new units stagnating on dealer lots first. The latter is probably more likely.

What a letdown! So boring and a lost opportunity for an exciting model debut at Geneva.
Oh well, here’s hoping Porsche is taking this extra time to fix the strut towers on the new GT4.........

Anyone know what the price will be on the 991 Speedster just announced. Unlike the 997 of 356 units, this will be 1948 units. I wonder how possible this car will be to get without ADM based on these production numbers. Will they all quickly get snatched up even at 1948 and with their high price tag?
As another interesting point. This car is stick only. The upcoming Spyder with less HP will be lighter and possibly have PDK as an option. It seems the Spyder will be the much better bang for the buck/performance play.
It is also mentioned in the press release info on the Speedster that the car received its drivetrain from the GT department and so forth. I wonder if they will mention the same with the Spyder as it is the topless twin of the GT4.
The Speedster is mentioned as not even having a soft convertible top, but a button on top cover?? So it will be even less of a top than the Spyder? 8-)

Probably (and hopefully) burning the midnight oil to fix the strut towers.

Here's a good video of Porsche testing new models up north (winter testing)......at 17:59 they spotted a GT4 with no camouflage. Enjoy!
