Its pretty important to me tho' ~ and I am old with aftermarket parts.
100% agree with your thoughts, lwb are a huge part of the package/experience.

You also must love doing silly things, by your own words. Not that there’s anyhing wrong with that.

I have buckets in my GT3RS and my daily driver 2008 turbo. They look the part and are not bad.
Although they are a pain to get in and out of for daily duty. At some point when im finally ready to admit im too old, the sofas go back in.
Porsche do a really good job with the LWBs - they are surprisingly comfortable and the height adjustment is nice to have.

The sports plus are a great compromise particularly in alcantara - easy to get in and out of plus the ability to adjust both height and back. The alcantara is nice and grippy too.

I have to say the LWBs leave me feeling a bit naked on track without the head protection (wings) - but for DE they're as good a set up as you're going to get and with the half cage and six points the belt angle is spot on relative to shoulder position. As you would expect from Porsche 😀

lol.. Buckets.

As someone else pointed out... The key for yellowsubmarine might be those magic words for the women. ..."They are sold out, but we can get them."

Works like a charm in my house.

"Buckets were limited"

Not according to the North American data base, 57% of GT4's came with them so they are not rare, like them or not they are just seats and according to the 718 forum they will soon be available in GTS as well. Full disclosure I didn't get them or want them for my GT4 that spends much more time on the road vs. AX or DE days.

When I looked at the UK market - c28 GT4s for sale from Porsche dealers and Pistonheads classified dealers the %age was c 60%with buckets - 30% club sport option and 30% buckets. So pretty much the same. I wonder if future buyers will lust after the rarest option here - folding buckets?

Almost all had 2zone air/ PCM/digital radio/sound plus/ phone/ auto dim/ some leather option/contrast stitching/seat belts.

looking at the UK market the number if dealer GT4s has dropped to c 16 from 23 in the past month - bankers bonus season ? Or dealers clearing them out pre the 718 GT4 announcement? Lots of expensive yellow ones here on dealers forecourts or maybe Sake or Return.

uk prices for less than 10k miles still at a premium to spec.

For reasons that are beyond me, the "old school" folding buckets are not available in Belgium even when they are on the German configurator for several models. These would be my choice because they can be had in leather rather than alcantara.

Seems the new car isn't as fast on race day. The GT4CS guys look to be struggling just a bit.

I went buckets cuz they look cool. When I went to the porsche school in Alabama and tried 18 vs buckets back to back, the 18 way actually held me in place better. I have 28" waist so I am probably an anomaly in this regard. I will probably buy some sofas (passenger only would be cool too) for my existing car so I can put my child's booster/car seat in there.
