40 HP is a pretty good bump as Porsche usually seems to do small increments between each generation. For all the rumors and cryptic nonsensical posts going around, 3.8 L is a surprise.
Yes 981 cs exactly same engine spec as regular gt4.

Street car is completely different engine. You will be surprised but still no PDK.

I know we all wanted to see a 9k rpm 500hp screamer for under a $100k but all things considered this seems like a really solid upgrade. +40hp for what is really a 981.2 is pretty good as Porsches go. Yeah, it's still detuned from the 991.1 GTS but at least you can feel confident the engine is well tested and reliable.

Based on all the news we had, this is about what was to be expected. I was mostly looking to see if they had decided to increase rpm significantly which would necessitate new gearing. Outside of that, this makes a short geared/pdk converted 4.25 sound really good

The 981 Clubsport ECU, Intake, engine and exhaust were the same exact parts as the road car for all intents and purposes. Cars made all the same power on the dyno.

Argh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe the 718 GT4 turbo voters were right on the money, if there was a "different" NA engine in the works not sure why they wouldn't race that.....

agree 100%. I’m on board with PDK for a cheap track day toy; will pass on manual however.

So are you saying that they won't offer a PDK option for the 718 GT4?

And if they do have a PDK then I can just swap over all of my parts of my 981 GT4 as they'll most likely be a plug n play.

I‘d like to know this as well.

Will it be offered, say 6 months from now?

Those are great numbers and the race car looks great despite the rear end.
