718 GT4?
#4846
If they don't offer a PDK version of the street car there is no sense in me buying a 718 GT4.

Waiting for TCS or BGB or RDC who've spent time in the car to explain to us how these improvements are different from the 981 version and how much the performance is improved due to this.

"Hmmm... wonder how the octane requirement fits into the upgraded HP of 425? Does this mean the street car if using the same 3.8 may have lower HP due to the lower octane fuel available?
Yeah, I second this question....
Rear diffuser looks better than the mules... I like it....
Front and sides look great!

Is that diffuser gonna make it to NA models?
Hopefully not!
Otherwise car looks great. Engine is definitely a letdown.
any estimates of Ring time?
7:20?

So basically the connected people in this thread that have the best cleaning ladies were spot-on months ago with regards to the engine and power output.
It seems very much in line with a .2 version to me. It also eliminates any desire I might have potentially had to give up my 981. No doubt the chassis will be improved, but not enough for me to live with what I dislike about the 718s aesthetics.

I'm betting the 98 minimum is a RON number, which is used in the EU - roughly equivalent to 94 (R+M)/2 octane, which is used in the US. So I'd imagine that it would be very little difference going to the 93 (R+M)/2 octane commonly available here.

yes, still the old 997 Carrera engine.............dissapointing. but as TCS has stated, the 911 GT cars engine cant fit in the 918 body. Why does the 911 body fit both the old 3.8 and GT motor, because the chassis is different between regular 911 and the GT cars from rearward of the rear seats
so instead of new car, just buy a Cobb tune and Dundon headers and exhaust system, same HP

Did the 981 club sport version make the same HP as the regular GT4? ie, Will the regular 781 GT4 have 425 HP well?
40 HP is a pretty good bump as Porsche usually seems to do small increments between each generation. For all the rumors and cryptic nonsensical posts going around, 3.8 L is a surprise.

I don't mind the reflectors much but can't argue with you on the black bar with logo. Wish they just went with a straight duck tail.
