It might be crazy to you, but that’s Porsche fans. No other car fan base wants so little change in new models. I mean there are guys who spend a million dollars plus on 911s that look like old cars but perform like new ones.
No doubt. On the flip side, people complain that the 911 is boring because it hasn't changed enough over the years and still looks like, shocker, a 911. You can't please everyone, and very seldom does a new gen come out for any car that is universally loved right off the bat.
They grafted sedan front and rear onto the 992, very disappointing.
Ok, now I like it after looking at it in more detail.
930 influenced front fenders, Audi interior, but the rear tron bar will still take some time and the vertical third brake light is just wrong.
I understand your enthusiasm for the 3L now, after reading BGB's thread and the gains from just a tune and losing the catalysts, but I'd say it's wishful thinking that it will make it into a 718.

Of course style is subjective. That's what I said. But to call it terrible, hideous, so ugly that it makes you want to puke....and then proceed to call the 981 beautiful and timeless is just crazy to me.
And yet it's just good sense or style and taste to me. I actually had to unfollow most of my Porsche related accounts from my Instagram feed because all the 992 pics kept turning my stomach. With the 718/992/New Panamera, Porsche has pivoted to an entirely new, AudiChina inspired design future and it's not one many of us are excited about. Different strokes for different folks. Personally, I think the 992 is a brutally ugly car.

Sounds pretty dramatic to me. Good thing you weren't following Honda pages or those Type R pics would have put you in the hospital.
