Recognize RolloGigolo posted this link (https://sportscar365.com/other-serie...r-roar-unveil/) already but I am reposting because of its mention of announcement timing, which shouldn't really be a surprise to anyone following this thread, after nothing appeared at the LA Show, as I had expected.
Nice!
99% the road car gets debuted in Geneva? No chance for Detroit in Jan?
Porsche announced last year they would not be attending the Detroit Auto Show anymore. It's just crazy to have the race car announced prior to the road car but...here we are.
This is where the 365 article pulled its information from. I wonder what sustainably manufactured fibers mean.
I think they are now using materials to produce lightweight panels for race cars that are sustainable. Perhaps the carbon fiber manufaturing of the past was not enviromentally sustainable.
I am all for it as long as it is not more money to replace it over regular carbon fiber
Crash damage eats parts and I am not interested in taking a second mortgage to replace parts just because they are "sustainable" lol
Thanks for the information, I just did not know if the cars used the same engine.
GT4 race cars CAN have a different engine to the road car on which they are based. Witness the Lotus Evora GT4 race car which had a 4.0 litre normally aspirated engine not available in the Lotus Evora road car (3.5 litre supercharged).

Dude just stop posting. Your just stirring the pot and it’s getting old.

I’m over it as well. I thought when I made the BMW to Porsche transition/upgrade that the forums would follow. But, I guess the internet will always ‘internet’. The member mute function has come in handy twice for me now.
