Compare the video of the GT4-CS at the 1:35 and 3:00 minute mark with that of the RSR (above) at the 2:30 minute mark.
Same section of track..... the chicane..... albeit the RSR has a wide-open exhaust.
Incredible!

This is why the new 420hp motor excites me. It will give the car torque it was missing.

The displacement increase only implies 5% more torque. Best thing that could happen is high redline which would allow lower gears.

The debate is certainly hot, but all there is just excitement of what will be coming. Yes, it sounds different but it will be good. Can not really stop watching these.

I anticipate the 718 GT4 to be somewhat like the BGB 4.0L. (crank, heads, throttle body etc).
The added torque of the BGB 4.0L makes the car what it should have been since day one. That is what the clubsport needs to be competitive in GT4.

Porsche has managed to achieve pretty excellent torque/L efficiency with the new 4.0L engine (GT3 = 84.75 ft.lbs/L; GT3 RS 86.5 ft.lbs/L.) The GT4 3.8L engine was 81.3 ft.lbs/L; nothing to sneeze at, but room for improvement. With the bump in displacement and a small improvement in breathing, there's no reason a GT4 4.0 couldn't have 330 ft/lbs of torque, probably lower down in the rev range.

Maybe I missed it earlier in this thread, but I'm surprised that no one is mentioning or has noticed that the GT4 testing at Monza had white brake calipers . Porsche's new tungsten-carbide-coating brakes (PSCBs)?!

Didn't the .1 GT4 CS have white calipers?
