PDK in a GT4??
Without turning this into a manual vs. PDK debate, is there anyone who knows of a GT4 owner that would be more comfortable on track with a PDK in their GT4? I'm just curious; I realize something like this would taint the resale, trigger land mines, etc but this needs to be someone wanting to hold onto this car for a long time. I kept thinking about it during the RS gearbox conversion and I think it's pretty straightforward.

Ha ha...I wish but it wont fit. I actually put it back in the crate that the 911R transmission arrived in and sent it back with the OP. Here is the best news though; Cobb has a PDK update that they are about to announce that will put that sort of shifting into all 991/981 cars that do NOT have PDK-S. You get the added benefit of Sports Plus AND Launch Control! It's an awesome time in the world of Porsche tuning. I did some beta testing of it last week and it's pretty saucy.
I thought that WE would have a sequential in YOUR car before WE do this, no?
Ha ha ha...I am all about reimagining but the only recycling we like to do is of bottles, cans and plastic!
We could absolutely do this as we have already had to replace 2 Clubsport tranmsissions. You would however, via the Cobb PDK software have Clubsport shifting. The most recent 4.0L X51 we did is more of a road going Clubsport 981 than anything! P.S. the reason for replacement of those Clubsport PDK boxes was because of crash damage. the 981 PDK is rather robust on track!

You're in good hands my friend. Across 18 months, the only 2 Clubsport PDK failures i know of were probably caused by running the car in abusive conditions while low on PDK ATF fluid because of poor PDK filling and calibrating.

Tom,
There's no formal pictures or details yet. I've leaked a couple of "spy" photos to our FB/Instagram pages but otherwise it's still vapourware. Coming soon.
