Next GT4 must be a Turbo... ?
If there is a new GT4 and if it is a "718 GT4", doesn't that imply turbocharged four cylinder?
If you think about it, the GT4 used the NA Carrera S engine.
There is no NA Carrera engine anymore. Porsche isn't making them as the 911's are all turbocharged.
Now, if all GT cars remain naturally aspirated, and therefore the next GT4 remains naturally aspirated, Porsche either has to continue to manufacture the old Carrera S engine (phased out of 911 lineup), or develop a new naturally aspirated engine for the GT4, which would be good.
However, one has to ask why Porsche would do that unless they are convinced there will be significant interest in the next iteration of the GT4 to warrant R&D time on a new NA engine (which I think there would be).
But...the next iteration should be higher performance than the original GT4, and therefore a new NA engine in the new GT4 would encroach further into GT3 territory.
Who knows, but to me it sounds "iffy".

If the Next GT4 is a turbo, watch our current values appreciate

New one will be either a derivative of one of the current NA motors (watch our values plummet) or a derivative of a current turbo motor (watch our values skyrocket).
Either way I'm excited to find out.

I test drove my realtor's GT4 about 2 months ago. This was the first time that I drove a porsche with a manual transmission.
The day after, I created a rennlist account and started asking around dealerships for the next GT4. I have tried calling dealerships at Arizona, Mississippi, Utah, Colorado and a few other states. Most of them have told me that they do not sell out of state. The ones that do sell out of state already have long wait lists.
Can someone here point me(via PM) to a dealership that always sells cars at MSRP, sells cars out of state and currently have a relatively small wait list.

Getting a 981 GT4 at MSRP was a challenge. Initial allocations were awarded to 918 owners and other "special" Porsche customers. So to expect to get a GT4 at MSRP from an out of state dealer will be nearly an impossible challenge, regardless of how early you get in line for one. $5K over MSRP was the norm almost from day one on the 981 GT4. OTOH nothing ventured, nothing gained. Good luck.

Good luck! There are certainly a lot of Porsche faithful who have come on RL over the years bitching that they were No. X on the GT-X list at the dealer from whom they'd bought 15 Porsches and had it in writing and blood, signed by the GM and sworn to by Ferry Porsche hisowndamnself, yet when the orders started rolling in they were passed by. Hope you don't suffer a similar fate.

Is end of year next year too early for the 718 GT4 reveal ??

Only a 15hp bump.... leaves room for a 400-425 hp NA 718 GT4 with sticky tires to still be faster even without turbo torque....

15 hp bump for the GTS is a good sign. Much more and I'd be wondering what NA engine in the GT4 would make sense. With this, pretty much anything 3.8L and greater that Porsche currently makes including the non-turbo engine part of the 911 Turbo (a 3.8L I believe), would work and make sense.

The pricing seems to be off. 76137 Euros including VAT in Germany should translate to a little less than that in the US. That price would be lower than the 981 GTS. The 76137 is probably without VAT in Germany.
Edit: Just saw the US site. Makes sense now.

Lists don't mean much, but every dealer is different. Mine would tell you they don't take orders or deposits or keep lists for cars that haven't been announced yet. Those that do, it's probably nothing more than your name, in pencil, on a stained legal pad in some guy's metal desk drawer. And writing your name on it in no way obligates them to you or to hand out allocations in the order in which the names were received. Your best bet is to establish a relationship with a dealer, and the best way to do that is to buy a car from one now. Alternatively, buy a 2016 GT4 and start enjoying the hell out of it now. When the next GT4 is announced, call around to a few dealers and, I suspect, when you say you have a '16 GT4 to trade, you will get taken a lot more seriously.
