Hmmm... looks like this is just a "late to the party" speculation article with no new info. I.e. we already had AP's confirmation that it will be coming, and that it will be NA. Did we learn anything new here that I missed?

Love the quote that test mules have been spotted on NOS but yet all the pics every one of these articles includes are from 2015, a 981 GT4.

Seems to me every now and then a journalist rehashes forum speculations and writes, publishes an article without any real or new content. I guess that qualifies as click bait, fake news.

Id expect a 718 GTS before a GT4. I think someone posted a few leaks of a boxster GTS just the other day... we are a ways away from a GT4

expect to see the 718 GT4 on the road (or track) in early 2019

we will have to wait all 2018, which gives us another year to enjoy our current GT4s..

If the 2019 GT4 is X51 package, then it wouldnt be too hard to upgrade our 981 caymans to the same spec

I believe Dundon has a twist on the X51 plus a few more items in the pipeline.

I feel like it's really unlikely that Porsche uses the 3.8 since they don't use it in any other car at the moment. It would make no sense to keep the tooling around for a limited production model. I find it much more likely that they use the 4.0 and detune it while also using less exotic materials for the internals to keep the cost down since they won't need 125hp/L. This is all purely speculation of course but it seems to make the most sense from a manufacturing perspective.

Keep wishing but be mentally ready to accept forced induction
