SOUND: You'll be treated to a glorious roar befitting of the GT4. Burbles and backfires erupt in abundance, and downshifts summon a bark that will make all eyes and ears around focus on you. We're not exaggerating. This system will put an ear-to-ear smile on the most miserly of faces. This is exhaust is LOUD - suitable for those running stock headers or perfect for the track as part of a full performance package. Pair with our turndown tips if sound limits at the track are a concern.

POWER: When combined with Fabspeed's Race Headers, our Lightweight Competition Exhaust System allows you to push 375 whp out of your GT4! Even with Sport Headers coming in at 371 whp, the gains in power are as impressive as the sound. The Fabspeed exhaust suite completely eliminates the torque dip in the 3500 RPM range and offers power gains all the way through redline. The increase in low end power will make a great difference in street driveability with the long gearing of the GT4. Note, however, that you do not need to modify the headers to experience the glorious sound, and mild power gains with the Lightweight Competition Exhaust.

The key to the red lines in the chart should instead say (Fabspeed's Race Headers & Lightweight Competition Exhaust).
I've been waiting for something like this to remove unnecessary weight and heat, nice!

I have seen many videos with Fabspeed exhausts and headers configurations but 2 points are still not clear to me:
- How much louder is Fabspeed Race competition exhaust (with stock headers) in comparison with a stock PSE with valves open?
- How much quieter is Fabspeed Valvetronic exhaust with valves closed (with stock headers) in comparison with stock PSE with valves closed?
I have not seen any video directly comparing those configurations in the same conditions.
What matters to me is more the quality of the sound and crackles rather than the performances themselves.
I must say that I am already very happy with the sound of the PSE with valves open, but I am tempted by the Fabspeed Race Competition exhaust as proposed. I would like only to assess whether not having anymore valves open/closed option would be still acceptable for street use (living in Europe).

IMO if you do a race exhaust and want to keep sound "acceptable" catalitics are a must.....I don't have the Fabspeed but do have other brand headers with cats and their race exhaust with race mufflers (not resonators or straight) and the sound is just a bit over on the street but I do love it and you can live fine with it. So if I had the race headers it would be too much for sure the same goes for a full-race (no mufflers or anything) with cats....but the sound would be glorious! Not sure about my neighbors loving it......

Why would you polish something that will oxidize after a few hours use on track, a bit longer on the street?

So far my neighbours love "the sound of music" from the the stock exhaust, even if I always open the valves from the start. I have to admit that I always start with low revs and it is only my week-end car so I do not drive it back after midnight in high revs.
It's no use for me using a heavier and more expensive exhaust with valves system if I always use my car with open valves and I do not intend (yet) to change the headers.

I think the offer from Fabspeed is pretty attractive if I opt only for the lightweight competition (race) exhaust system and keep stock all the remaining line. But I still have no idea of how much more insane would be the sound then compared to stock PSE in open valves position.

I would love to get an answer from Fabspeed.

Mine is very loud with race headers and stock mufflers with valves open. I usually keep them closed in my neighborhood, but above 4k rpm its a moot point.

Those ought to save a lot of weight. I was moving my stock exhaust around this week, and while it's light for what it is, it could lose 20lbs....

At least 20 lbs.....when I changed mine I made the mistake of doing the swap alone (not recommended), felt VERY heavy. I think I dropped close to 40-50 lbs between exhaust and headers!

Yeah, the stock header are crazy heavy with that bracket.

Funny/odd story. We have moisture proof room under our deck that I use to store stuff like car parts. I had the OEM headers in a box wrapped in bubble wrap. Recently had some trouble with my aftermarket headers, so I grabbed the box with the OEM parts and took to the shop. Apparently there was a dead rat in the box when Evan pull the headers out. Poor guy.

The loss of weight is not my priority, but how much more insane is the "music" and the crackles.
This said, I still have no idea for comparison... between the Fabspeed Race exhaust and my stock exhaust in open valves position.
In case of doubt I could always opt for the Fabspeed Valvetronic exhaust system, but why should I pay almost twice if I do not need the "quiet" mode in close valves position and be penalised with more weight?
That would be double pain... and wasting money while I could do something else with it.

I've never understood polishing exhaust tubing. 304/321 starts to oxidize around 500F.

May be misunderstanding between US and EU wording?
PSE: Porsche Sports Exhaust = OEM stock exhaust.
