that is the key line,

I could get closer to a pro race drivers lap time in a GT3 PDK vs a GT4 but I just don't get chasing 1/10th of seconds in limited camber set up road cars on road tyres.
As anything over -2.5 ruins the car on the road and track GT4 needs -3.5 up front, so one is always driving round issues and that's not fun either.

I'm running -3.2 on the 4 up front right now and the car drives totally fine on the street.
I can say with certainty that it is more difficult to match a pro lap time in a GT3 than it is with a GT4. Even the pros will tell you that a faster car is more difficult to drive at the limit.

I'm one second off of pobst in the GT4 at laguna. I'm probably close to 2 seconds off of what he could do in the GT3.

but Pobst drove a stock car,you have a track set up car ! give him your GT4 to do a time in and see then :-)

A PDK car is easier to drive full stop, less to do, less to think about, one can even drive it in Auto which I see most do ! one has time to think about what to have for dinner with PDK, with the GT4 braking and gear change pre bend is key, THe GT3 it no issue, get the braking wrong or the gear change and you can take the **** and get away with it.

This makes sense to me. The quickest 991 GT3 videos seem most often about 1-1.5 seconds faster than the quickest GT4 videos on local tracks, when theoretically I think it could be 2-2.5 seconds depending on track.

For those of you hoping, praying for a GT4 RS next year, AP in this DriveTribe video confirms that it is not happening this year or next.

Well.....we all knew this but 24 pages later got our bubble burst! We sometime listen too much to the Internet gossip/speculations and don't take a good look at the hard facts. Hey, and don't get me wrong...I'm on the list on my local dealer....you know, just in case AP changes his mind

He said a few things in his response:
- there is high demand for a gt4 RS
- they don't have the engineering capacity to work on it now, they need to finish existing projects
- it's not a confirmed project
- don't expect it this year or next

Its not a matter of changing his mind, more approving a potential project.

When the GT4 first was introduced, AP said no GT4 RS...he has been known to change his tune. Floppy paddles, anyone?

So many "but's" and comments like that may as well be PAG strategy to keep us hook on the drug wasting our time here in RL Sounds more like we will have a better chance of seeing the next GT4 than an RS.

One thing is a components of a car to meet a goal or demand...one thing is developing a new model with new parts that will probably cannibalize some of your already existing market or not meeting sales due to overlapping with other products. Never the less.....I hope they do build it.

My Gt3 would be considered 'track' prepped too so that would negate any advantage my 4 has over the pro lap time. What is your point? The cars have an alignment to prolong tire wear. Neither car gains any substantial performance with a track alignment. Tires are oem or oem category.

Pdk is easer to drive given the SAME CAR. GT4 is easier to drive that a GT3. Full stop. Stop changing the parameters to suit your argument.
You initially said the gt3 is easier to drive than the 4 because you can get closer to a pro lap time in the 3. Now you are back pedaling and saying just pdk is easier to drive.
