I currently have ALL white cars, well 7 of them are white, one is black and I hate that about it, and the mini is white, but we wrapped it blue for my daughter.

When I bought my 991 GTS they had a demo in GT silver with Black wheels, and I ALMOST bought it... liked it ever since.

Fast forward to this June when a buddy says "I got an allocation for a GT3RS and need to spec it today! Go with me? you're gonna buy it from me in a year anyway" so I went, and we looked at white one and GT one in service, and both decided GT was the way to go. While sitting there the Dealer principle taps me on the shoulder, and says come here. "I Just got an extra allocation for a GT4, want it at MSRP?, you have to spec it today". ****, I did it. and went with GT as we had just decided it looked great.

two things I learned here: Always doing everything the same gets boring, and When you get the opportunity, take it, THATS how you get on the Dealers short list for rare hard to get stuff in the future!

I clicked the link and looks like the vessel hasn't updated it's location in a few days. I hope PEC can get me an earlier date. Right now I'm scheduled for Oct. 14.

It doesn't update until it's close to land again, probably 2 more days. ( I believe there is a paid subscription that tracks boats everywhere, but that'd be seriously obsessive).

Yeah, I think you need to pay to get the live GPS satellite updates. Lol it's so tempting to do it ...

Definitely agree on changing things up; I always try to get a different color with a new car. I don't think you could pick a bad color on this car, either. And now next year, your GT4 will match that RS you're going to buy, right lol? Are you happy with the blue wrap btw?

As far as the wrap goes, it's as good as any I've seen. That said, it never looks as good as paint! This car lives outside, and after we get thru winter, I'll be able to give a good review. My good buddy does wraps as a side business, and he's very busy, nearly every evening from 6-12or later, he wrapping. Did the mini in 2 evenings. Daughter LOVES it!

Default on-delivery checks you should do...

for all you waiters, have the dealer check for standard alignment figures
during the car check pre-delivery. There is some common trouble even
getting some cars to that standard setting, so they may have to do some
shimming or other work to get it there. Have them do that.
Also, particularly if there are any more miles on the car than the typical
delivery figure (8-12ish? (there's a post about that)), have the dealer run
the computer check for over-revs.
Ask the dealer to check item-by-item that you got what you ordered.
I didn't, and found the lithium battery wasn't there...
And if you did order the lithium battery, maybe ask for your money back.
I will see if I can photograph the porsche internal doc my service agent
showed me but could not let me keep, that says that battery is not good
for daily use, only for racing, and to swap the normal battery in for daily
use, and that the car needs reprogramming with every swap!

Looks very nice! I'd definitely be curious to hear how it holds up to the winter. I have some interest in wrapping my DD.

Yes, thank you for the advice! I'd also add to that list to have the dealer turn off the horn honk when locking the doors.

Finally! Crossing my fingers for a delivery this week. I'm surprised the tracking sites aren't getting live data, yet. Boat is probably 325 miles off the coast.
