Very possible. Don't really want to mod the car though. If my driveway was flat I'd lower the car for more camber, but not an option ATM.

With these tires, my best lap times are near the back end of the session and are very consistent. I think the ideal hot pressures are 34-35psi front and 35-36psi rear. Even after driving hard for almost 1/2 hour, the pressures never went higher than 36psi after the pressures were dialed in.

The front tires are wearing faster than the front, and after the equivalent of 3-4 track days (415 track miles), I think they are done. If the front would wear more evenly and at the same rate as the rear, I think an extra day could be squeezed out.

We have been watching this thread and want to thank everyone for the great input on the RE-71R and Cup 2 performance on the track. There has been lots of useful information posted on both tires.

I have plenty of both in stock. Please contact me if I can help

I have many of you that have pre-ordered OEM 20's. Bridgestone is estimating August at this time. Let me know if you would like to get on the list!

Given that I run 285 for my gt4, if they come out with 295 in 20" and not 305, I will run 295 on my gt3. The size difference is minimal since the re71r run wider than cup2. I will never run cup2 again.

Great endorsement for the RE71R's. Without digging through the whole thread (lazy...apologize if already answered) what would you say is the primary reason for this statement? Faster? Better Wear? Better Handling? Cheaper? All of the above?

If faster, how much faster than cup2's would you say?

Wear is about the same. Grip is about the same. However:

1) 1/2 the price of cup 2
2) much more consistent than cup 2. Cup2 and every other tire I've driven in the past including NT01 start to lose grip after about 5 hard laps. The RE71R keep going lap after lap until you are tired of driving. I have very consistent lap times using this tire. Some of my fastest laps are 8-9 laps into the session, which never happens with cup2 or NT01 for me.
3) The tires handle heat very well. I ran cup2 and re71r on a 110F day and the re71r still felt soft the next day. The cup2 turned into stone. According to one of the tire guys, there is no sulfur in the re71r, so heat doesn't destroy the tires.
4) 1/2 the price of cup2
5) Did I mention it's 1/2 the price of cup2? I don't drive the GT3 much anymore because I'm tired of paying $2k for a set of tires that only last 3-4 days.

Sweet! I hear you on the 2k a set. I got a set on the way and excited to try them, although I made the "mistake" of running hoho R7's for two weekends.

Bring it on. I'll happily use 295 rears on my GT3 for $800 savings a set. It's not exactly been lacking in rear traction that I've noticed in any case..,
