Cool video Joe
Your tracks have so many fast turns - that's where the faster guys make up their time. Must be quite difficult to pass safely if you come up behind a slightly slower car.
We had a trackday today. I know you guys probably won't use MPSC2s any more, but I had a new pair on the front and half worn and probably heat cycled pair on the rear. Bars were medium front and hard rear and the car still had slight tendency to understeer. Not bad though, managed a 1.12.8, 0.2 off my best ever time. Track in good condition, ambient temp 59F. Don't think I'll have a problem using up the half worn rears.

4) That being said, I love the RE71R. Lap times rose and peak speeds were dropping from 133 down to 128mph after I switched to OEM cup2, but that was after lunch when the heat really started to come down hard. I don't think anything fair can be said about performance difference. That being said, both handled the heat well, and I felt like both were similar in performance. However, I did noticed that the re71 talked to me more than the cup2. Cup2 talk as well, but the re71r gives you plenty of warning and time that the car is about to break loose. When it does, it is very progressive and controllable. I'm an official believer of the re71r tires. I won't be going back to cup2.
Hope to see 20 inch replacement sizes for the GT4 soon.

Thanks for the help in T7, btw. Watching the improvement on video shows how obvious it was that your suggested change made the difference.

What was the turn 7 suggestion?

Ok, here are some pictures of the re71r
This is after about 120 miles. I only used them for 1/2 the day, but the mileage corresponds to about a normal track day, albeit in very hot temps:
Driver side front tire:
nice and even wear
Passenger side front tire:
There is still some outer edge wear and some beveling of the center rib, but not bad
Driver side rear tire:
even wear
Passenger side rear tire:
just a touch of more outer edge wear compared to the other side
The inner barrels of the OZ wheels all look ok EXCEPT for one. You can see scraping of the finish, but nothing gouging into the metal
There is some scuffing of the caliper, but not much. Most of the scuffing was from test fitting an 18" wheel 2 months ago. There are black scuff marks on the caliper that you can only see when the wheel is taken off that were a result of the OZ wheel. If this bothers you, pick a different wheel. I'm ok with it.
Front cup2 tire after 2.5 track days:
Fairly even wear, but wears too fast given what these tires cost.

Last video re-rendered with new software. Dashware has become a disaster. I'm now using race render. Video now synced

It was fun driving with norcal buddies at Orthojoe's thill day and meeting new people. Wished weather was a bit cooler. boy it was FREAKING hot!
Joe - I agree on race render and dashware has now become a junk software. I have used both mac version and windows version. Windows version works better/faster from my experience.
t9 - i over brake every single time. very tricky turn due to blind crest
damn u are fast on those street tires!!!!
Sorry this is not a gt4 video - i will have videos of some fellow RL's that I chased around.
