Anyone come from an S2000 to a GT4... Thoughts and perspectives?

I think I have a different experience with steering feel due to my steering wheel, suspension and tire setup. I run a Mugen coilover setup with Advan AD08's in a 255 width all around.
I found that the wide sticky tires and the thinly padded buckskin clad Mugen steering wheel contribute greatly to the steering feel that I experience... as I write this I realize that I'm not comparing stock to stock. LOL
It's been literally over a decade since I've driven a stock S2000.

How does it compare to the GT4? I went from an E92 M3 (which has hydraulic) and while heavily boosted, it was much nicer than the S2K.

GT4: most natural feel and good weight, most feedback transmitted, no slack in the wheel, quick ratio rack
S2000: still natural in terms of feel, less weight than GT4, moderate feedback transmitted, no slack in the wheel, quick ratio rack
BMW F3X: artificial computer-like feel, lightly weighted, indiscernible feedback transmitted, spongy quality to the overly thick rimmed leather steering wheel, slower ratio rack but still accurate

I went from an S2000 -> E92M -> GT4. I still have access to that same S2000 and still own the E92M.
Of the three, the S2000's feels the lightest, disconnected, and most artificial. That said, it wasn't bad at all -- that just speaks more to the great steering in the other two cars.

The porsches have a level of tactical feedback other car makers wish they could replicate. It's really where the magic is. having owned many BMW and a S2000 I wish I still had, all great cars, but NONE has the feel of a porsche, especially when driven in anger. The S2000 had/has the best shifter in the business. GT4 is close. S2000 steering felt vague and disconnected. But much better than any current BMW EPS. GT4 and 991RS have best porsche EPS to date. Still cannot match the feel of my 997 old fashioned antique steering.

The S2K is a car that you drive with your butt. There's so much feedback from the seat. But it's also something you need to learn to feel and honestly takes driving at the limits (aka autox/track) to really get a feel for. The S2K EPS system is pretty bad and the first few weeks of driving made me wonder if I'd ever get used to it, but after spending time on an autox course and a track day, I understood where the feeling came from in this car.
My S2K feels far more connected and live than my M3 ever did and even a bit more than the GT4. But it's far from a stock car. I did about 40 track days over 5 years in the M3 and moving to the S2K was such a great feeling. And the S2K kind of ruined my GT4 experience. Instead of being blown away by the car like everyone else seems to be, it just seems like a nice sports car. At the limits the S2000 just feels so much more alive and communicative. It's really hard to explain.

How much track time do you have in the cars?

I still have my S2000... have had one for well over 12 years now. It's one of the best cars i've ever owned.
Swapping in a K Series into mine as we speak... Then testing to see how she does in the upcoming season.
