18" or 19" rims on GT4

[FONT="Century Gothic"][SIZE="3"]So it is very important that you know that these particular wheels are meant for a Porsche GT4 Clubsport, with specifications that allow us to run this particular size. These 18"s will not fit on a GT4 unless it is a Clubsport, but they're worth sharing since it's relevant.
We've got here a set of HRE R101 wheels in 18x9, 18x10.5.

So it looks like rc512002 did the 19x11 with 50mm offset and a 5mm spacer instead of a 7 mm spacer without rubbing. I wonder whether it's safer to just run the 10" rear and no spacer if you are not going to change to studs or longer wheel bolts.

I did change to wheel studs so that I would not have any problems.

As far as 18" fitment on steel brakes, we clear on the front but not by enough. We have material to cut an ID that would clear, but the OD would have to move accordingly to maintain wall thickness. The OD would then be too large to mount a tire. The caliper swap mentioned earlier in the tread will be necessary. Currently 10.5" is the max width on an 18" rear.
19" have ample clearance on steel brakes, and we are working on a 19" over CCB.

FYI, I did send the email from your web page contact us.
Im looking to repalce the calipers now.
Would still be interested to get some 18" rims with suitable offsets.
For the rear I want to use a 295/30 or 295/35.

Posting this up here first. We have produced a 19x9 and 19x11 fitment for the HRE R101 wheel in Gloss Gold. We will be test fitting, sharing pictures of the fitment once it has been installed!
Here's the rear 19x11:

that's exactly what I asked Forgeline for...but they are still working on a racing/track duty version of their VX1 that is as light and strong as the GA1R.
Would like to see that gold color on SBM.

Here are some crappy pics of my 19" BBS CH-R. 19x8.5 ET51 and 19x10 ET38. As you can see, fitment is perfect. I'm on 245-40-19 and 295-35-19 Michelin PSS. This is my street setup, but as I've said before, I wouldn't think twice about running this wheel size on the track.
Pics are literally bone stock alignment, no rubbing or clearance issues anywhere. For those looking for a dual-purpose setup, the 10" or custom 10.5" rear size wheel is the way to go. Allows for less aggressive alignment, or full track setup, and you can run 285-295 without ZERO problems. This obsession with an 11" wheel is silly, unless you love running that C6/C7 track wheel fitment where the wheels stick out past the fenders......
Sure, this wheel is a little heavy, but OZ offers some lighter wheels in the 8.5 and 10" sizes with virtually identical offsets. Plenty of 981 guys already running this setup with 295's hoosiers, etc.
The ugly chrome ring on these wheels is easily removed, it's just on with two sided tape. Clears and a drop coming soon. You're welcome folks.

P.S. Ride quality is fantastic. Wheels are fantastic looking, and they are about the same weight as stock wheels, so I agree with GMG's choice to run these on track, but prefer the 10" rear size. However, remove those ugly chrome rings!

This thread is a mile long, so excuse if this has been discussed before. To me, the 997-C4(s) wheels are a perfect fit and the 997-C2(S) wheels with a 17mm spacer as well. Both are readily available and cheap track wheels. Both don't have the disadvantage of sticking out beyond the stock measurements and hence no clearance issues.
Attached is a little tire/wheel calculator spreadsheet I have used for some years to gauge where the tire / wheel edges are relative to stock.
Look at the Xinner/Xouter measurements for tire and wheel. These should line up with stock measurements as best as possible.
For example, the CH-R wheels/tires in one of the recent posts results in 10-12mm too wide, which still seems to avoid rubbing. Play with it yourself.
You will find that some of the aftermarket wheels being pitched are way out of factory specs.
Good luck!
