So when you say light polish ( what polish are you using on the film that you applied )
And then you are using a coating ( what might that be ?
TIA

I was surprised as well. Paint does look much better after the light polish. It pops more now. He also polished surface of clear bra lightly as he said that smooths out the slight irregularities of the surface without damaging the material. It looks better to my eye as well.

This is what the detailer used. Not sure which polish he used. I just write the checks...
If anybody is in South Florida he does great work. PM me for his contact info.

I see your point. I don't know why the forum doesn't automatically size things. Lets see if this pict is any better. When you look at forum on an iPad the pictures render a normal size.

added 300 miles on car yesterday taking my daughter up to Kennedy space center. Almost at 1k miles. She fit great in front with porsche booster seat. She said she was much happier in front of GT4 than in back of 991S.
Second picture is her take on the GT4.

Hi NOPDK,
Carmine is looking really sweet! That's a clean machine. I've been away on a little vacation and just getting back to Rennlist after a long week away. I'm anxious to catch up on your thread, especially to know how the tint is fending off our Florida heat, and I'm still wondering why the ceramic coating goes on top of the Xpel? Why wouldn't we want to do the initial polish/ paint correction on the paint, apply the nano coating, and THEN do the Xpel? I'll probably find the answers when I take more time to read each post...
Thanks for certifying me as anything other than 'stalker', lol. The way I chased after your Carmine from dealer to clear installer... 'Enthusiast' does sound much better! Thanks also for the kind mention of my R! Octobers getting close

Thanks for the photos of your '73 along side the GT4 for size comparison. I have been wondering how much longer the Cayman is than an early 911. My shop is a bit tight with the 3 aircooled 911s now and am wondering how the Cayman will fit in place of the 964 after it is sold. Going to be tight I think.
Your '73 looks fantastic BTW

Two quick thoughts:
* your car is ridiculously glossy after your paint steps...great wet look!
* your '73 is old, you should just get rid of it...send me your address, I'll be a good samaritan.
(seriously beautiful pair of cars you have there)
