As soon as I open the configurator the price with no options shows as $100,450.00
Wow what a surprise they decided on the Turbo engine sans turbos....
The 981 GT4 was the only game in town with an MT6 in 2016, but now there are competitors. I would think that Porsche would have to UP their game not maintain the same level

I hope you guys realize that these kinds of threads where people show that they're expecting huge price increases for each model refresh only fuels Porsche's confidence in doing so.
Next time you make one of these threads, I highly suggest everybody under-estimates the increase. There's no reason for a nearly 18% price increase when the .2 GT3 only increased 10% (which was the largest at the time) and had as many or more significant improvements.
A 10% increase would have put price at $93,060 before delivery (well below the upper limit on your lowest option on this poll).
They do read these boards and I imagine this kind of thread is at the top of their minds...

so you're thinking that on June 13 somebody in the Pricing department flipped open RL and called his boss to report, "Hey, 9 guys have voted for a high price over on Rennlist, Herr Manager! Let's change our global pricing strategy and raise the price from 88,000 to $100,000! I'll call Helga over in Brochures and we'll get new ones printed up with a new price. Ja, glad I opened up Rennlist this week before we went live with the GT4 tomorrow!"

It's not as though this is the first such poll or thread. When taken as a whole, they portray a crowd ready to shell out big bucks. I remember well when I bought my 981 GT4 there were all kinds of crazy price estimates and it always made me cringe. Some were expecting $125k and the majority seemed to be thinking 6-figures. I was delighted when the real number was under $85k. Maybe these polls only affect the next model (i.e. PDK or RS versions). And maybe the jokers who expected such high prices for the first GT4 only affected this 718 version. But in any case, it probably does some harm (and certainly does no good).
If they listened to this board, the 718GT4 would have a GT3 4.0, PDK, close-ratio gearing, new strut towers and PTS, and sell for under 100k.

One other interesting fact that shows the US had a disproportionate bump to its price (due to the reason I suggested or maybe something unrelated) is that for the first time, the US price in Dollars is higher than the German price in Euros (including Tax). The German price is 96k Euros. With the 981 GT4 (and most GT models) we paid fewer dollars ($84,600) in the US than the Germans paid Euros (nearly 86k Euros). So, the German price went up 10k and the US price went up nearly 50% more ($15k).
For the .2 GT3 the Germans pay 152,400 Euros and we pay $143,600...

Porsche will be second guessing this pricing strategy after the initial orders wear off

Perhaps later buyers of this model will enjoy bargaining for a price below MSRP for a change, if initial demand slows and the price is perceived to be just too high relative to the competition. I think demand will remain high for this model, though.
