Exhaust Valve - Disconnect?
Hello, anyone find a benefit or degradation with performance blocking off the exhaust valves such that they are open at all time?
Lots of discussion on this in the GT3 forums, never personally felt a loss in power with my 991 RS. IMO more about controlling noise vs performance/back pressure.
Thanks!
Mike

Yep, my 981 CS has the standard GT4 exhaust with the valves and the vacuum lines going to them. Pretty sure they open upon cold start and then close after 30-60 seconds while idling just like the street GT4.

This is a 2019 718 CS MR.
it has a valved exhaust. On my 991 RS I removed the suitcase mufflers and center delete.
The 718 valves seem to operate the same as the street cars. Open on cold start, close then open at a certain rpm.
Was just curious if others plugged the vacuum line and disconnected.
