Default Any issues w 5 yr old 911 991 w only 5 k miles?

I'm looking at a 2013 911 S Cab, PDK, built in 7/12, with only 5,085 miles, & 2 owners. It's Certified, for sale at a Porsche dealer, for $87k. I talked them down to $85k. They're charging more for it due to low mileage I wish it had 12-20k miles, I'd be more comfortable. I like it cuz it's got my preferred ext & int colors. The dealer says the seller is an injured Vet & can't drive it.

I haven't driven it, as it's 400 miles from my home, so I don't know how it drives. I'm concerned with the low mileage, that it could cause some problems. Could it be sluggish? Cold there be engine performance problems, lubrication issues, crap happening in the future?

I have a 2004 911 w 122k miles, drove it fast & often...and never any problems. The dealers always say to "drive" the cars - don't let them sit in the garage. Previously a 2000 Boxster S whose engine gave out at 99k miles, and a 1963 356B.

Thanks for any feedback.

The miles don't seem extraordinarily low for a 2013 model. A low mileage car is worth more than a higher mileage car, all else equal.

Other than needing fresh brake fluid now and a new 12V battery within 2-4 years, the car should be fine.

Thank you smmmurf... the Porsche dealer says it's Certified, "so there's nothing to worry about" - it's all on warranty. Still, the fact that a car is on warranty does not eliminate the hassles of getting a car fixed, especially if there are major issues. The test will be to drive it ...

If it isn't in your garage as I post this comment it is in someone else's.
