Cross country drive ROUTE HELP!
Hey guys,
I am planning to drive to LA from NYC. I am new to the states, so i was planning to take the Route 66. Though after searching through the net and numerous forums, i was told that many of the roads will be interstate and will be quite boring.
So here i am, asking for all your fellow road-trippers, what are some of the better route i should take? Any mountain road/nice roads suggestions are appreciated.
The car ill be driving will be a 981 Boxster s, with PSS tyres.
-I have about 1 - 1.5 months of time
-Happy to detour to any nicer roads or take a longer way to avoid boring interstate
-Im not sure if i should avoid any states due to weather or icy roads
Thank you!

If your route takes you through Tennessee and North Carolina, there are some really great 2 lane roads through the mountains that are a ton of fun to drive. For instance:
