DD 991.1 C4S into Manhattan. Not pleasant but made much more so in a P Car. Warm dry days I’m in the 964 but not as a commuter. Mainly bc I don’t want a manual for my DD.I can understand the “ savin’ it up for Friday night” kinda sentiment but I’m not that young anymore and time is passing quickly. I don’t want to wait to get into my favorite cars and therefore I subject them to all sorts of hell. I do take care of them properly tho. I’ll be 48 next year and have been fortunate to drive P cars for the past decade. I’m not waiting til the weekend to enjoy what I have now. But totally understand those that reserve it for that special driving time. Aren’t we all spoiled ?! Do they talk like this on the Toyota forum ? It’s alright , I have a Sequoia !

I'm with Tomc_mets, I bought mine as a toy for nice weather but I find myself even taking it out in the rain (this is a fully detailed show winner) I make excuses to drive it more till the cold comes around, then Ill park it for the snow/salt. Ive also had to find the long way to the gym which is only 1 miles from the house, seems the 10mile version is much more fun.

My commute is 0.4 miles, so I walk, have wife drop off my sorry butt on her way to work if it's raining (unlike Porsches, I could melt in the rain), or on some glorious days I take the Porsche to work via an insanely contrived, but oh so fun, thirty mile loop I've developed to cover the 0.4 miles. 
Chores you avoided in the past, you will now relish. Wife wanted a few items at Lowes. Do I go to the one next door? Yeah, if I owned a normal car. But, I own an iconic sports car, one that I hunted for over a year, so I drive to the one 30 miles away! And, I have such a good time doing it, have to text the missus upon my arrival, what exactly she wanted,'cause I forgot. Sorry, but it's a fact, excessive use of the Sports Plus button makes your memory worse.
Trust me, if this is your first Porsche, you will find excuses to drive it. Even if it's not your first Porsche, you'll still find excuses to drive it. We are blessed to own great cars. Get out there and drive the ever living s**t out of them, then clean. Repeat...T

Macan GTS as DD, and 991.2 GTS Cab for the weekends and track outings. I wouldn’t DD the 911; in fact only 2 people at work know that I have one.

Just got mine but I feel as though it will be a nice day kind of car but on those nice days I feel I'm going to drive the crap out of it. I also have two motorcycles so will be sharing time with them in the summer.

Weekend car. Have a 75 mile roundtrip drive to work and live in Cleveland with the snow and salt. If I had a very close commute, I may consider it, but even then when you take it out on the weekend it feels even more special.

We all have different needs / wants but on weekends - I’m always in the truck with 2 kids , 2 dogs and some type of sports gear be it baseball bats or snowboards. If I wait til the weekend to drive the p cars , I’d never drive em. I need a cayenne.

We all have different needs / wants but on weekends - I’m always in the truck with 2 kids , 2 dogs, tire inflator and some type of sports gear be it baseball bats or snowboards. If I wait til the weekend to drive the p cars , I’d never drive em. I need a cayenne.

Daily drive? Absolutely!
The 2013 CPO 911.1 MT C2S in my garage has performed as expected. Simply rewarding. It's been driven hard, reaching for red line some of the time and predictably soft, when conditions demand it. I've ran the gears over 16K miles of road in the ten months of ownership without any mechanical problems or regret. Once I treated the machine like a sports car and less of a shiny-polished object, it became even more enjoyable. I look forward to rolling it down the road during the commute in the morning.

All my P cars have been DD.
Currently DD is 2016 Targa GTS for past 3 years and its a blast. Especially with the top down which is most days. Have tracked it about twice/year.
Also drive my 87 Carrera once/twice a week just to keep things changed up. Probably get more looks in that car than the Targa!
IMO, unless you have a concours car, they beg to be driven- drive it like you stole it!

Using my 991.1S as a daily driver. Dropping kids off at school, grocery store, work, whatever. It's a great all around car and people often strike up conversations seeing it in atypical, mundane situations. Guy in the grocery store parking lot today saw me open the frunk with the hand sensor (part of Porsche Entry and Drive I think?) and thought it was the coolest thing.
