Minor damage after rear end - what to do?
After about 2 years of on and off searching, I picked up an 07 Cayman S last week. Unfortunately I was hit from behind at a red light last night.
Luckily the damage appears to be super minimal - just a partial imprint of a licence plate on one of the rear bumper guards. No damage to the actual bumper.
I'm concerned about reporting the incident to my insurance in case it shows up on carfax as an accident and affects the resale. The other driver only had damage to her licence plate, though she did say she would call her insurance.
Has anyone been in this situation? Thanks in advance for your help.

Could be damage behind the bumper you're not seeing.
Post pictures.
If only the painted bumperette, you can get those replaced by Rennlist sponsor BumperPlugs. Great quality and customer service.
I'll ask a mod to move your post to the proper 987 Cayman Forum, for better play and info. Good luck.
