What is yours called?
Hi Folks,
I was showing my daughter how this forum worked the other day and she aked if it was easy to pose a question. I said it was and asked if she would like to ask the group anything.
The question is "What is your car called?".
Ours is called the Beast or sometimes reffered to as Beastly or His Beastliness. If we are going somewhere we go 'By Beast' and that is our favourite way of getting about (obviously).
Cheers

Race Car
Mine was called Black Beauty by a guy on a Porsche BBS, and the name stuck.
Then, after this happened, I got a new tub for the old drivetrain, and Black Beauty 2 was born.

Great question Adele! We call the '72 911 "The Tomato" or sometimes "Lil 'mater" because of it's tomato orange paint color. Unfortunately, it's a project car right now, so I guess you could refer to it as a "rotten tomato". But fear not, we'll have her back on her feat (so to speak) someday, and hopefully I can get a license plate that say KLRTM80 in reference to the old cult movie "Attack of the Killer Tomatoes!".
I don't have any names for the silver Boxster. Maybe you can help with that one?

that would be a great license plate Doug!
i used to and still do call my girl by the vanity plate i used to have MEIN912. unfortunitly i no longer have that plate, and have gone to 1968 ohio plates. i also call her the Burgandy Bomber, and the Burgandy Bombshell.
heres 2 pics of her, last weekend at the concours at the 912 Rendezvous, before i took her to the mechanic 2 days later to fix the #3 valve spring, valve guide, valve, and valve seat! (im just lucky i didnt blow up the engine!). i get her back on monday and will take off again back for ohio! in this pic, evidently someone else musta thought she was a bombshell too
pics by fellow 912er from the neitherlands Barwaut (obviously i havent been able to get mine developed yet!)

Hi, Adele.
My car's called Nif. (Comes from the registration number it had when I bought it).
It's funny referring to my car as 'it' as, unusually, my car is definitely male and therefore is normally referred to as 'he'. But not in public, generally - you get tired of the strange looks after a while.

Hi Guys,
I don't have a name for my 911 but my eighteen year old 528i is called Bernard and everyone I know calls it Bernard as well which is quite strange.
Cheers,
David

Sadly, my 74 911 has moved on to its fifth owner. I still call her "The Ducktail".
That said, my 79 930 lives on, and he is simply "The Turbo"! No name in place for my Cayenne.... yet!

My girlfriend (though now ex) liked giving names to all our cars, so mine, somewhat unimaginatively has been called "Porschey", its a he as well.
However, I sometimes call him 'black panther' when he's all washed and ready to 'pounce' at high stealth speed on the London night roads.
