I was at the dealer this weekend. They conveyed that a well optioned Huracan will be in the $260,000-$280,000 range. It appears they are going in to the Ferrari 458 territory. I was surprised to hear that increase in pricing

Hopefully, just an erroneous reliance on a strict currency conversion from Euros (common mistake). Gallardo was under $200k for base model and if Huracan is more than a few % higher to begin, there will be massive requests for return of deposits. Who would pay more for a base Huracan than for a McLaren 650S?

That was my thought process but 610 ponies, NA engine, a little diet, and a redone suspension- could be quite interesting. But it also depends if you like Lamborghini styling. The McLaren is nice but I do like the lines better on the Lambo. Iwas never in love with the MP4. But that is all personal preference. "Different strokes for different folks".
The one good thing there are a lot of new models to look forward to over the next say 5-7 years

The Gallardo started at about $195k, but that was for the LP550-2, a RWD MT 550hp version that will likely never exist in the Huracan line-up. The Huracan is a successor to the LP560-4, which was more like $210-220k. But my understanding is the Huracan will have a lot more standard equipment (CCB and nav, for example), and start at ~$235k, with loaded cars being $250-260k. My comment about the 960 at $275-300k being on top of high end Huracan models is my expectation that there will eventually be a Huracan Superleggera of some sort right at that price point.

this car is targeted at the 458, just look at that hideous steering wheel.
