Photos! Monterey Historic Races 2002
Featured marque was the Corvette. See if you can find one among these photos... Other points of interest were the appearance of vintage race car haulers like the Tyrell model below. Check out the 74 RS racer and the immaculate 72 RSR Lightweight (replica) street car - BOTH IN GREEN. I also tossed in a nutty Bugatti "Tank", a spotless Mercedes and the odd Abarth and RS Spyder for good measure..

Thanks for posting your pictures, great shot of the concept Corvette. It was my first time at the event, what a blast!
The driver of the 935 (car #12) drove a great race. He came from the back of field to finish 2nd. He just couldn't catch that Ferrari. That silver 300SL Roadster sitting next to the Bugatti is one the most beatiful street cars I have ever seen. Porsche was well represented. Thanks again.

Awesome H2NOO - Thanks so much for posting those great pictures. The elf-Tyrrell transporter and the Gulf 917 brought back some serious memories and sent me scurrying for my Motor Sports and Autocourses.

Sorry Bill, it's too difficult to resize and post all those pic's to Rennlist. Plus, I think I'm pushing my hard drive privileges!
One of these days I'll set up my own website and post them all.

It's an Olympus C-3030 Digital. A mid-level 2-year old digital cameral. Roughly the equivalent of a ~$500 model today.
3.3 Megapixels. All shots were in standard format, not High Quality (memory sucking format).
Composition and digital editing prior to posting make a big difference.
Thanks for the kind comments!

One trick I forgot to mention.. Even with our California backlighting I nearly ALWAYS use the flash. There are only a handful of those photos where the flash wasn't used. After all, light (artificial or otherwise) is a photographer's best friend!
