Epoxy coating for Garage?

Epoxy coating for Garage?
Hi,
Just wondering for those that have had their garage floors epoxy coated, is there a recommended brand? installer? I'm located in SoCal. What are people's thoughts on modular flooring like racedeck?
Whenever I see members post pictures of their cars, I must admit the nice garages catch my attention more
No I dont have a Porsche, but its nice to get things ready for whenever that day comes
Thanks much.

When I was contemplating painting my garage floor, I heard Griot's Garage 2-part epoxy paint was the best. http://www.griotsgarage.com
However, I ended up tiling mine instead.

I was going to tile, then decided against it. I went to Home Depot where they have two different kinds. One is the basic which is water based. The other is by the same company (I wish I could remember the name), but it says Professional on it. It's oil based and much better. It's roughly $100 for a two gallon kit which covers 300-400 square feet.
It's the best thing I've ever done for the garage and wish I'd have done it earlier. I did it myself. If you decide to do it yourself, buy some etcher that completely cleans the concrete floor so that the epoxy adheres properly.

I think its Rustoleum Garage Floor Paint. Its a kit with cleaner, etc to do the whole job. Just follow directions and add labor. I did my garage floor when new and it still looks like the day it was finished except where I dropped a lift arm and it gouged the concrete itself. Spills have included oil, brake fluid, battery juice, trans fluid , beer, whiskey, etc. It all cleans up with simple green or similar products. No hot tire marks either. Best money spent for flooring imho.

Also used the Rustoleum Garage Floor Paint when my garage floor was new. Garage floor still looks good, and spills clean up easy. The only problem I have had is the paint has peeled off the floor under the tires (Eagle F1s).

Anybody used the Griot's floor paint? Claims not to lift under hot tires. But then like every other product, no warranty since preparation is the critical success factor.

Well, if others are interested....
based on my research so far there are 3 main types of epoxy for garage floors: 100% solid, solvent-based, water-based. Toxicity/fumes decrease in that order; actually I think water-based has no fumes. Prices also decrease in that order. They ALL advertise no hot tire pickup.
I was thinking of buying a 100% solids epoxy (0verkill??). And it does all depend on the prep of the concrete. So far I've only found internet sources for the solids, and they run about $250-300 to cover a standard 2-car garage.
The Rustoleum brand at Home Depot comes in solvent and water-based; the solvent is ~$120 for a 2-car garage.

I used "Epoxy Sheild" or maybe it was "Epoxy Coat" from Home Depot. I usually wind up trying to go the expensive route for most home improvement jobs but I couldn't be happier with the look and how well it has held up over the last 4 years. I had 7 neighbors go out and do the same thing to their floor once they saw the results. The confetti sprinkled throughout really looks nice. This is very similar to the higher cost brands but I would be surprised if they worked any better.

Etcher is the key to this process if your doing it yourself. After using the cleaner, the etcher will absolutely wipe out anything on the concrete. The epoxy needs the cleanest floor possible for long lasting results.

don't mess with any of that consumer stuff, I work in the Marine industry and this is what I've used on two different garages and it is the best! It is Industrial/Marine grade and is expensive, but WORTH IT! You can spill acid on it, drive a tank on it and it never fails.
