15- I bought a new 1978 911sc off the lot at the Palomar Lincoln Mercury dealership in Santa Cruz . I am that kid in the Porsche commercial that rides up on his bike...I used to look at George Dyer's RSR/934/935 sitting in the showroom at Nuefeld Porsche Audi in Burlingame before it sold out to Rector Motorcar . I worked my ace off and invested every buck . It was 26k and I was a little short but my father who's love of cars I inherited made up the difference. It was two months before my 16th birthday . I told this story the first time I had a car in Excellence to give props to my father. The old man is almost 74 and drives a 2001 TT modified with over 500 RWHP and to this day is still my hero

It's been a love affair with mostly turbo charged Porsche's ever since. I think we are all just care takers for the next person in line who gets to enjoy them.

Well unfortunately, I just got the 911 at my current age, but a 944 was very close to being my first car at age 16. Still a little bitter about that

34... '87 930 39k. Can't believe I got it, always figured it'd be after I turned 40.

SCHWING!

Figured time was right after an E28 ///M5, a 190E 2.3-16, a C4 //S6, and now a D2 //S8 heh heh...

24. Bought a '77 911S in 1979. I might have been 23. Bought it at Al Holbert's dealership outside Philly.
