Default Visit to RUF Automobile "RUF Tag"

Well spent the weekend down in Southern Germany doing a couple things. First ordering my 2006 Boxster S and second spending a day at Ruf Automobile. I was glad to be part of an invited group to attend the RUF facilities and take part in a personal tour with Alois Ruf himself. It was great to see where RUF vin cars are built and the different areas of the RUF facilities from the service side of the garage to the build side, paint shop, restorations, wash racks, dynos, seperate air cool and water cooled engine dyno rooms and customer service area. There weren't many cars around in the facility other than ones brought but people from our group but there were a few that i snapped a couple photos of. Enjoy.

RUF Rt12 (Ruf Turbo 12th Generation)

A YellowBird in for restoration along with a 356 Cab

There were 3 Rt12's in all these 2 being built sporting the famous "Blut Rot" or "Tangerine" color with a Turbo R in the middle

That's all for now i will post more after i get some time to edit more pics

Sorry to bump an old thread, but is the RUF facility in Pfaffenhausen open to the public for a drive-up visit, or does something need to be scheduled? Are they open weekdays only or also Saturdays? What are their hours of operation?

Thank you.

You need to ring up and ask if it is convenient for you to visit. These are busy folk and often have a lot on.

Virtually every German business expects people to make an appointment if they want to visit.

They are open, they have a small showroom and service desk but if you want the behind the scenes look that must be coordinated in advance since sometimes they work on customer cars that customers wish not be seen by public eye (camera/video recording). They are a friendly bunch though, just give them a call.
