Here I go again, being the anti-Porsche guy in the group

If that were true, why are they selling an SUV to stay afloat?

I agree here, still competition.

I'll go 50/50 on this one. To the average new car buyer, the status of owning a Porsche is about equal to a Jaguar. In some cases higher. Why? Walk into a cocktail party where nobody is a car person and say either "I drive a Porsche" or "I drive a Jaguar" - I'd bed the results would be split. This is what new car buyers are looking for.

The current lineup of Aston Martin blows Porsche away on every level IMO.

I still love my Porsche's, but if I had $100k so spend on a new car, I wouldn't buy one.

The new Maserati Quattroporte is not a reskinned Ferrari. Its V-8 was developed with Ferrari though. I wonder what plans Fiat and Alfa Romeo have for the next Maseratis.

Jaguar should drop the X-Type which uses a modified European Ford Mondeo's chassis.

I think the next Jaguar XK will drive very well with its aluminum chassis.

This XK was spied recently. Go to the bottom of page one for more pictures.

If I were to spend on a new hipo mid priced SC, it would be a AM DB9.

But it is Unimportant, I will not sell my RS!

I would pick the Ferrari from the list you provided but around where I live, BMW is the biggest Porsche competitor. Mercedes-Benz is second.
