I have a 2006 Cayman S. On the drivers side only, when I open the door from the outside, the window lowers the 1/2” or so as it should, but Immediately raises back up. When the door is now closed, the window will not fit into the door seal properly, and overlaps the door seal, in lieu of raising back up into the door seal. If I open the door from inside the car, it works fine, lowering, then raising back once the door is closed, to fit behind the seal. I have heard it may be a microswitch. I was also told once that when I remove the door panel, that it might be a good idea to replace all the switches while the panel is off. Anyone have experience with this issue? Any online part store recommendations?

You are correct, its switch issue. Have it checked or replace the part.
