Default No spare tire in Panamara

Hey all- a friend in his 2014 Panamara hit a pot hole and blew a tire. His car does not have run flat tires (thank god--don't get me started on those) but also no jack, no spare etc. My 997.2 has a spare and jack, etc. Does Porsche have other models with no spare? Not like the Panamara is a small car.
btw, I rarely have had a flat (last 20 years ago) and just put Michelins on my BMW and threw away the horrible RFTs.

Porsche dropped the spare as standard equipment (or even an option in the US) for 911s, Boxsters, and Caymans, at least as early as 2005.

They now provide an air compressor and tire sealant. Or you can use roadside assistance in the case of something like your friend experienced.

Personally, I carry a tire plug kit and portable air compressor as well. Just in case. Same kit I carry when motorcycling.

My 997,2 does not have spare tire nor jack. It does have an air compressor and a can of tire sealant.

I also carry my .357 Smith & Wesson when traveling rural areas. Years ago acquaintances had a blow out on Internet 5 in CA. A nice person gave them a ride to a service station. By the time thy got back their car was on blocks with four tires missing. Lucky there was no other damage.

Default Spare tire in my 997.2?? - I am losing it!

I do not have any such in my 2010 Cab. I was misremembering the trunk from my 993. Geez...

Charlie
p.s. does Porsche provide lifetime emergency service for flats? I'll ask the place I bought mine. I do have AAA of course.

Not lifetime. But any service response depends on where and when. If you only drive during the day, and never more than 100 miles from a dealer, a flat could be a minor inconvenience. If not--in other words if you treat your Porsche like a real car and not just a toy--a flat could be very bad news.
