Default Diminished Value

DV has been discussed in a number of threads but mostly with larger claims. Mine is 2009 C2S cab with 60,000 miles. Don’t ask how I did this but the rear bumper needs to be replaced at a cost of $2400. The bumper was pushed up against the backing brace causing a wrinkle in the plastic. Small amount I realize but with a potential ding to the resale value because of Carfax, am I being overly concerned? The insurance company (American Modern) said the claim is too small and the Porsche dealer was not too concerned. But I’ve seen what happens on an air cooled, hence my concern. Appreciate any thoughts on this.

Porsches are unique in that rear end hits result in higher diminished value.

Yea, that is the big question. What will the impact be from a Carfax ding? If I had to do over I would have just paid out of pocket.

A late model Porsche will lose 10%-20% of it's trade-in value after even minor repairs.
