What navigation device?
My Macan does not have navigation and I was wondering what does everyone use who don't have nav. Last year on a trip from Coeur d'Alene, Id. to Scottsdale our google maps on the phone had us going 3 hrs. out of our way, when it was obvious looking back, that was not the best or shortest route.

I use Waze as well. Which is also owned by Google. So information is shared across Waze and Google Maps.
Always confirm a few settings.
- Make sure you havent selected Public Transport or Walking
- Make sure you aren't unintentionally avoiding highways
- Make sure you aren't unintentionally avoiding toll roads
- Ensure that you pull up additional routes to see if there is a large deviation between them
- If you are concerned, use a different mapping application to confirm distance/time
I travel almost weekly and use Waze consistently. With Google Maps being a supplement. Both have been very accurate for me. I do use a Galaxy S9+ and have been very pleased with them on the Android platform versus my experiences with Apple Maps.
