Deletion of Model Designation
Is there a consensus about removing the model name from the vehicle?
I'm thinking about leaving 'Cayenne turbo' off.
I wonder if it happens more with base models so people don't know which version it is rather than the higher performance models.
Any input would be appreciated and does anyone regret removing the model?

It's whatever you think looks best. Don't modify your car based on what the internet suggest.
Some people like badges, some people don't. You are right, that it is more common for people to debadge the lesser models, but real Porsche enthusiasts will know if it's a turbo.
Personally, I think it looks cleaner to just have PORSCHE across the back and I took off the model designation on my car. Modern Porsches are starting to look a little crazy with so much text on the back.
