Who knows if the thing actually works, or is instead it's own scam?

People have been rolling back odometers for decades, and apparently this problem is rampant in certain parts of Europe. More modern cars that keep track of mileage or kms electronically are probably more difficult to do this with.

If this device does work, I hope that someone reports the cretin selling this to the D.O.T., or other relevant federal and state agencies. There is absolutely no legitimate use for a device such as this, and selling such a thing (as well as using it) violates all sorts of laws.
