Question Stick on Protective Film ?

any ideas as to where I might purchase a couple of small pieces of that protective clear material that is normally used on facias , hood and wheel wells as protection from chips? I'm installing a set of carbon fiber door sills and would like to protect the sill areas where I always drag my foot across.
As always your comments will be appreciated.

Get down the gym and lift your leg over the sill!

I bet if you rang the companies that sell pre-cut you could persuade them to sell you a few pieces?

Here is one source http://products3.3m.com/catalog/us/e...r/output_html.

By the way, how do you guys rename a URL to one word. I was checking my browser and this web page, but didn't see anything that looked that intuitive - al least to me.

Thumbs up

Mo,
Just got off the phone with the folks from 3M, when I got your reply. As with most suppliers, they have no "sample" program for normal consumer goods. But I made a few phone calls and shed some tears and found someone with a small supply of material lying around their 3M office. I guess I sounded pitiful enough, he's kindly sending a small sample my way. So all's well that ends well. Thanks 3M!! And thanks for your reply, as always their appreciated.

Ray,

You're welcome.

I used the strips of the 3M product with some excellent results. Of course the application can be a little tricky, and I found windex spray and squeeze(sp?) very helpful when applying. Good luck.
