I used to drive down to Porsche Fremont but looking for something closer to home in central Marin. Today, it is adverse, so much so that the EU just passed emergency energy measures on Wednesday and every member should read up on this. One of the natural future targets is the gas powered engine.

As a result of the fuel prices, EV sales up 48%, and a number of people calling for the end of the gas powered and even Hybrid models. The EU cannot compete with China on electric cars price wise, as the sale of Porsche over the last few years of major declining sales talked about on these boards. The news is reporting very high gas prices for the next 2 years in the EU and the oil company's increased profits.

What does this mean for US...the 911 owners who do not want to turn our 911's, at lease new ones, into " Golf Cart Fake Noise" 200K+ BS".

The fully electric 911 is now coming a lot sooner. 27' is another EU milestone on gas polluting cars. Add, this energy crisis and new restrictions coming on gas powered engines, including limiting fuel consumption and we are about to be hit in the face with this, like it or not.

2 things are clear for me, 1- if you want a non-hybrid 911....do not wait....and watch for increased costs by Porsche to be passed on to YOU as the energy and shipping during this crisis have shot up both long and short term..meaning larger prices increase potential everytime they raise the price. 2-Watch for even more smog and fuel efficiency add ons with probable weight and price increase.

My question to you is what is your opinion on the future of the 911 price wise, performance wise, and historical wise given this crisis?
