Fikse Wheels Contest Mark 2

Art is the quality, production, expression, or realm, according to aesthetic principles, of what is beautiful, appealing, or of more than ordinary significance.
His photo is art; I do not think anyone will argue the beauty of the 993 Turbo he captured in this photo. Bravo Curve Lover!

The winning photo was of a model, and not the poster's car.
Am I missing something?

I wonder how many people coughed up for membership just for this contest. I bet they feel zinged. I hope they don't think RL is always like this.

Yes, no mention of VIN to be specified nor type in the contest. A Porsche. Curve followed the rules and congratulation on his winnings based on his artistic display of his Porsche.

Explain to me how someone could envision the prize wheels mounted onto the subject of the photo they entered if said subject was a scaled model, as opposed to their actual car? It's not possible.

This is getting old I agree but I'm on the side of mongrelcat (and suspect the majority), the fine print does say "The photo must be of your Porsche, and must show the wheels." The photo isn't a "Porsche", it's a UT (made in Japan? my minicamps is made in China) model - like someone else also said in a prior post. Where does it say it can be a model?

congrats to the winner!!!
when you enter the first contest https://rennlist.com/forums/the-abys...se-wheels.html and have to do a "do over" because people couldn't understand the rules and then drive over 100 miles to take pics for the second contest and lose to a toy car with only one pic in the album. makes you think if these contest are worth entering. next time ill take a pic of my tool box wheels......

It does look like a model to me.
And I have heard of the tilt shift effect, which gives a very narrow field of view, and you can make real scenes look miniature... but there are a few clues to that picture that suggest it is a model.
I should have out up this picture, I couldn't decide between this and the purple lighted one.....Oh well.
Congrats on winning a picture with your Porsche, I hope you have an actual 993 too, I want one!

Fitting that the new winner should be a 993. Great shot, boman993.
Curve Lover, you're aces in my book. A very graceful winner who comes in stark contrast to the throng of sore losers on here. I'm not sure that many of them would've handled themselves with such aplomb that you exhibited by declining the prize.
To me (being a non-winner), this contest is about celebrating the beauty of Porsche automobiles. I heard many exclaim that they had no idea it was a model. So, he satisfied requirement: provided a beautiful shot of a 993.
Food for thought: technically, Gemballa has a manufacturers license, and his cars are manufactured under the Gemballa brand name-- not Porsche. So if someone posted a picture of one of Gemballa's crazy cars, would we be up in arms?
