Ended up having it done from Porsche themselves (or their internal contractor), which eliminated the wait time for pickup AND was cheaper than creasigns.

It was like $1600, I'll check. No idea on those other questions, I'm just not that ocd to care.. just wanted to have the car without stone Chips after driving all over Europe in winter

Me in a nutshell... Maybe the guys from Cree signs would've done a better job, I have no idea... To me waiting two days hanging around didn't make sense, having the car ready to drive off when you get there seems like a no-brainer. So I didn't ask any other questions

As of right now, Porsche has stopped providing PPF at Leipzig because of some of the issues listed here. Jamie told me they are working on a replacement and if I here anything I’ll post here.

If you rent a car to get to Leipzig from Frankfurt, then you have a vehicle for the two day wait. There is plenty to see near the factory to keep one occupied.

But, by all means, spend $1600 on a film job you will peel off back in the states. That is not my personal M.O., but to each his own.

And it's all a moot point now, based on montoya's post.

^ Latest word from Jamie- use CreaDesigns - I've contacted them to see if they can work with Leipzig to do it before my delivery.

Would you happen to know if PPF could be applied before delivery in Stuttgart? I asked Jamie a while back via email but never heard back. Thanks!

CreaSigns is an independent, off site shop. You have to take delivery and drive your vehicle to them (15 minutes from the factory). The contractor whom PAG had been using was allowed access to your vehicle prior to your delivery.

I was happy with the PPF job, but be advised they apply pre-cut pieces, and some owners want a total custom scalpel job. My delivery date was Sept 6, and I drove 3100 miles in Europe, then put 6500 miles across the ConUS with only minor peeling on the wheel arches and lower front fascia. My driving is on/off road in my Macan GTS, a 911 would not experience the conditions to which I exposed my car.

As I posted earlier, CreaSigns had a Carrera GT in for PPF ahead of my Macan. They will send you HD pics, via file sharing, to view their work on a variety of high end vehicles (918, GT4, AMG Mercedes, etc.)

^So far CreaDesigns is indicating that they can do the PPF ahead of my delivery at the factory, and Jamie at PCNA told me they are their recommended installer. BUT, she hasn't gotten back to me yet with a local contact at Leipzig to coordinate the installation. Fingers crossed, hopefully it works out...

It is Creasign, not CreaDesigns: http://www.creasigns.de/

If you can get your car done pre-delivery day, that is new.
This shop, as of last September, is a husband and wife team, not a firm with multiple employees.

CreaSigns-Foliendesign

Juliane Leo - Inhaberin (Proprietress)
Brünner Straße 26a
04209 Leipzig

(15 mins from the factory)

Tel. 0341-4957035

I am pretty sure my install, and positive review, are why PCNA ED (Jamie) is recommending Creasigns.
Every other installer, especially the previous factory approved pre-delivery firm, had very sketchy reviews.

exuse the misspelling, but yes all indications are that it will be done at the factory. I’m in communication with Juliane and Jamie is getting us a factory contact. Once confirmed or not I’ll update here.

Cool. Good for you.

(No worries on the spelling, initially I thought there might be another shop.)

Waiting 2 days for a PPF install after taking delivery was not a popular option for buyers with limited time in Europe.

I had 6 weeks, so spending the 48 hour installation/cure time for the PPF and nano coating in Dresden (been to Berlin pre-wall fall) was no problem.

By all means, post about your experience- you are kind of a pioneer as far as a factory install option with Creasigns.

I am contemplating another ED myself, the last one I did was pretty dam cool- driving my own self-configured car beyond beak-in and rocking the Alps in SPORT+ mode. The ED 6000km maximum mileage limit came far too quickly, for me.

Have fun there and safe travels.
