Regear?
Clubsport door cards.

I'm quite happy with the gearing. Not sure why everyone complains about it. But, yeah, OK, as a pure race car, I would much prefer shorter gearing, but hey... it's not a Cup car. Nor does it have the cost or maintenance of a Cup gearbox.

The only thing on my to-do-list at this point is to get out and drive it!

It dawned on me today that I spent far more time driving my car in Europe, than I have since it made it home to California.

Why is that? Too much modding time?

Well, yes. She spent quite a long time in the shop, undergoing her transformation from street car to track car. And I've only taken her to Buttonwillow so far. Once. I'm keen to get her on 'home turf' at Thunderhill to see how quick she can go!

You should have left her in Europe - sometimes a distance relationship is the best.

Couldn't agree more!

That is what ED does to a man - keep 'em young

11 days till delivery. It finally becomes real when you write the check. Two checks in my case. One for the purchase of the car, the other for the VAT (value added tax) charged in Germany. The dealer is simply stapling the VAT check to my paperwork. It will be torn up once the car arrives at the dealership.
Thanks for posting this detailed EU delivery experience! I find this extremely helpful as I prepare for my EU delivery which will happen on May 30th!

I am also from NorCal and my dealer is Sonnen in Marin. They are actually telling me that Porsche wants to see the VAT fund cashed and available in the bank therefore need to cash the VAT deposit check once I give them. It seems like this was not the case for you. Can I ask which dealer you went through for your EU delivery experience? I wonder if the policy has changed from a year ago. Thanks for your reply in advance.

Did European Delivery on May 30th and drove around until the 7th of June. Here is the video of me picking up the 911. Enjoy..

Sorry, some regions (like Austria) wont be able to see the video using mobile phone due to the video having songs that are not licensed to play in those countries on mobile devices.
