Any Rennlisters in Charlotte?

Relocating to Charlotte NC (actually Mooresville just north of the city) and I've noticed quite a few Porsches on the roads. Any enthusiast groups and/or specialty shops in the area catering to P-cars?

Steve, Glad to see you're here.

We have a non-chalant gathering on Wed. evenings at Eurowerks/Zuffenhaus in Matthews. And the local pca is quite active if that's what you like.

I'm also in Mooresville. If you need anything, just pm me.

Hello...Cornelius/Davidson area here and recently bought a '90 C2 and am looking to get involved locally too. As a former 951-S owner (actually, owned 2 in the mid-late '90s), there seemed to be a separation of the among the water-cooled and air cooled crowds within the local PCA.

What's the difference in the two gatherings/crowds? Any particular model focus?

Since you're in Mooresville, I presume you know about Stuttgart House of Parts on I-77 exit 36, right?

I know about the HOP. I've talked to the owner a couple times and they seem like great guys. However, I've also heard they were kind of high with prices. We need to get a meet going. :jumper:

Don't forget to tell him about the shop just in front of Eurowerks........Wednesday night seems to be the auto "happy hour" time.

Don't forget to bring a 6 pack or two:cheers:

PS I know of an old fart that lives up Mooresville (997 owner) way and never misses Wednesday night "happy hour"...........come on out and I will introduce you.

We just did a run up to W. Jefferson last Saturday.

Would like to ask for an assist looking at a car in Charlotte, NC.

Hoping to find someone who can go by and take a look at a car for sale, and take some particular photos for me.

Should be nothing more than a 10-15 minute visit.

I will pay your gas $ and add some beer $ for your effort!

Please PM if you’re willing and able.

Thanks!

First time owner of a 996 here...I live in the south near Ballantyne and Blakeney. Any members who like to get together for a coffee and chat? I definitely need some guidance on where to service the car, what to watch out for etc. The 996 I bought is all original, has 61k miles, Y2k model, manual transmission. I've had many other cars but this is my first Porsche. Hope that it will be a good experience.

Here is the link to Tobacco Roads, the local PCA magazine.

You might find some Charlotte meet-ups in the magazine. Certainly attend the monthly dinner.

I won’t be around till AX tme....too cheap to but all-season tires for the P-car.

I'm always game. Don't check this section often enough though due to lack of activity.

No Porsche here yet but E46 M3 owner. Just relocated to Charlotte from eastern VA. In the past I've done track events with PCA Tidewater at VIR. Does the local chapter here organize and host track events?

When I was over in Charlotte the local PCA did organize events, I'd imagine they still do. Went out to Atlanta Motorsports Park (AMP) for a Drivers Education event. Had a lot of fun.
